OREANDA-NEWS. August 17, 2010. Swedbank merges leasing and fleet subsidiaries in Estonia: Hansa Liising Russia AS, Hansa Capital AS, Swedbank Autopargi Juhtimise AS and Swedbank Liising AS. The merger will be conducted in the course of August, and the business name will remain Swedbank Liising AS, reported the press-centre of Swedbank.

Karin Lamp, the member of the Supervisory Board of Swedbank Liising AS, stated that the reasons for the merger are primarily the reduction of duplicating activities and the facilitation of the management structure. "In addition, the use of the service for clients will become more convenient, since the services - from car lease to fleet management - will be available from one place, i.e. Swedbank Liising", told Lamp about the advantages of the merger.

Lamp said that all contracts entered into with Swedbank Autopargi Juhtimise AS and the rights and obligations arising from the above shall transfer in unamended form to Swedbank Liising AS. "The merger will not bring about any changes for companies, and also no new documents have to be signed due to the merger. Vehicle users need not make any changes in the technical passports and when ordering a notarised power of attorney necessary when driving abroad we still request to contact us," explained Lamp.
