OREANDA-NEWS. August 16, 2010. Sergey Krjukov, Chairman of the Board of RBD visited Sheksna Industrial Park that is being created 30 km from Cherepovez, the Vologda Oblast, reported the press-centre of RBD.

Within the framework of this project RBD finances construction of the access railway to the industrial park. Currently the park doesn’t have rail communication and building materials are delivered by motor transport. The implementation of the project will cheapen the shipment by far.

Having studied the progress of work the Head of RBD said that the construction is carried out as scheduled and he was positive that the works would be competed this year. Moreover Sergey Krjukov pointed out the topicality of this infrastructure project for the regional economy.

“Financing under this project started in the time of crisis, nevertheless, it didn’t hinder to find investors who work for the future”, said S.Krjukov.

The following SME projects have already been implemented on the territory of the industrial park – molded steel section plant (247 working places), timber-works   (92 working places), and a metalware plant (200 working places). In future the manufacture of forged automobile components and production of wheel disks will be launched here.

Creation of industrial enterprises in the park will promote development of small business in service industry. In particular individual entrepreneurs will built a refueling complex, a public services center, a carwash, and a tourist center in Sheksna.

That sort of approach when the infrastructure of the project is created with the support of development institutions is a key business area of RBD.
