UK Ambassador Visited Baltic International Bank
OREANDA-NEWS. August 16, 2010. Last week Mr Andrew Soper, Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Latvia, and Ms Sanita Bankava, Senior Market Adviser, UK Trade & Investment team, British Embassy in Latvia, visited Baltic International Bank at the invitation of Ms Ilona Gulchak, Chairperson of the Board, reported the press-centre of Baltic International Bank.
The Embassy officials were received in the bank’s head office (Grecinieku 6). During the meeting, the bank’s shareholder Mr Valeri Belokon and Ms Ilona Gulchak described the principles underlying the bank’s business practices and told the honourable guests of the plans for the nearest future.
Mr Andrew Soper positively evaluated the bank’s initiative of co-organising business conference "Latvia: More Than You Would Expect". The conference was held in London in October 2009 within the framework of the annual visit of BCCL (The British Chamber of Commerce in Latvia) delegation to London. Also, Mr Andrew Soper appreciated the bank’s commitment to help in arranging and holding the 2010 conference.
The participants of the meeting exchanged opinions on the opportunities of developing business in today’s environment and emphasized their readiness to share experiences and information.
The Bank’s senior officials expressed their profound gratitude to Mr Andrew Soper for having the chance to meet with UK Ambassador and confirmed their clear-cut intention to continue the dialogue commenced between British Embassy in Latvia and Baltic International Bank.
