OREANDA-NEWS. August 13, 2010. As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, in January-June 2010 as compared to the same period of 2009 Moldova also increased the production of natural wine by 9% - up to 4 million 167,7 thousand dal, and sparkling (champagne) wine - twice as much – up to 120,8 thousand dal.

As it was reported before, the production of wine in terms of value in Moldova in January-June 2010 against the same period of 2009 increased by 23%, accounting for 737,5 million leis (USD59,4 million).

In the given period the production of wine made up 6,8% of total volume of industrial production. The production of distilled alcohol drinks in January-June 2010 in terms of value increased by 35%, totaling to 230,2 million leis (USD18,5 million), (3% of total volume of industrial production).
