OREANDA-NEWS. August 13, 2010. In January-June 2010 Moldova imported meat and preserved meats to the amount of USD9,4 million or by 0,8% more than in the same period of 2009. These are the data of the National Bureau of Statistics.

The share of import of this category of products in the total volume of Moldova’s imports in January-June 2010 made up 0,5%, reducing from 0,6% in 2009. In the given period Moldova also imported animals in live weight to the amount of USD 3,3 million – by 16,7% less than in January-June 2009.

At the same time, over the first six months of 2010 Moldova exported meat and preserved meats to the amount of USD 2,5 million or by 4,5 times more than in 2009, and their share in the total volume of Moldova’s exports made up 0,4%. Animals in live weight were exported to the amount of USD 2,2 million or by 5,9 times more than in January-June 2009.
