OREANDA-NEWS. August 13, 2010. According to the National Commission of Financial Market, the share of physical persons made up 49,2% (215,8 million leis) out of total volume of insurance premiums received by the companies in January-June 2010.

Out of total volume of premiums, received January-June 2010, the share on general insurance made up 94,5% (414,84 million leis), on life insurance – 5,46% (24 million leis). In the structure of premiums on general insurance the largest share fell to liability car insurance (RCA) – 50,1% (208 million leis) out of which 41,6% (86,5 million leis) – Green card insurance. At the same time, in January-June 2010 the share of CASCO insurance in the total volume of premiums on general insurance made up 19,5% (81 million leis).

In January-June 2010 the following premiums were attracted: financial losses insurance by 8,5 million leis, insurance of persons in difficult situations on business or outside the house – 119,3 thousand leis, legal defense insurance – 59 thousand leis, guarantees insurance – 79,4 thousand leis and pensions insurance – 179,4 thousand leis.

The leaders in terms of the insurance premiums in January-June 2010 were: Moldasig – 123,7 million leis (28,2% of all premiums), Asito – 101,8 million leis (23,2%), Grawe Carat Asigurari – 51,8 million leis (11,8%), Donaris-Group – 29,4 million leis (6,7%).
