OREANDA-NEWS. August 10, 2010. The meeting, held by the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Slauta, was devoted to that issue. The meeting was attended by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Ministry of Economy, bakery business associations, officials of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

During the meeting the questions of saturation of internal grain and cereals markets, the formation of public intervention fund of grain and its regional resources, and provision of animal industries with feed grain, were considered.

At that Viktor Slauta stressed the need to accelerate the formation of public intervention fund in the amount of grain, determined by the President of Ukraine, and revitalization of the Agrarian Fund of Ukraine in the grain market current marketing year.

In order to prevent the groundless price increases in domestic food market, the Vice-Premier of Ukraine ordered the Ministry of Agricultural Policy to hold a telephone conference on the price situation on the market, and prognostic indicators in current year.

Also, Victor Slauta obliged Ministry of Agrarian Policy to hold with representatives of the Ukrainian Association of Bakers, the association "Ukrhlibprom", the Agrarian Union of Ukraine, Association of Farmers and Landowners of Ukraine, Union of agriculture workers and grain exporters a working meeting on the current situation on grain market and baking industry.

Based on the results of this event the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine plans to hold a separate meeting.
