OREANDA-NEWS. August 9, 2010. All first aid vehicles in Astrakhan are to be monitored by GLONASS satellite navigation system by the end of the year. The decision was made by the local administration with the aim to enhance operations of the medical emergency. 18 of 53 cars have been already equipped with GLONASS.

The navigation system provides the opportunity for dispatchers to track the first aid cars, as well as to send them quickly to the necessary addresses.

Local medical services appreciate the modification and say they will help to introduce GLONASS on their cars.
