OREANDA-NEWS. August 9, 2010. Ingosstrakh paid about 407,500 US dollars as final indemnity for damage caused by failure of the main engine of Sun Leader vessel under total loss and damage hull insurance policy.

On November 11, 2009 during sea carriage of cargo from Tonnay (France) to Civitavecchia (Italy) Sun Leader with bulked barley suffered the main engine failure. The repair work was conducted at the anchorage of the destination port Civitavecchia.

After the repair work the Insured’s final claim for damage was settled and the insurance indemnity was paid out.
