OREANDA-NEWS. August 9, 2010. Shukhobodskoye (CJSC) received 2.2 mln rubles from the Vologda Branch of Ingosstrakh upon occurrence of the insured event, i.e. fire and damage to DON-60 forage harvester. The farm machinery (harvester, tractors, rigging) was covered under the insurance contract. The total insured amount under the contract is 8.2 mln. rubles.

The accident occurred in Truzhenik Village of Nelazskoye Rural Settlement of Cherepovetsky District of the Vologda Region. The combine bursted into flame when harvesting. According to the State Fire Supervision Department for Cherepovetsky District of the Vologda Region, the most probable cause of the fire is a foreign object (stone) falling into the harvester’s drum, resulting in pass of strikes and combustion of dry grass (dust) in the combine harvester’s collecting chamber. The damage was fully indemnified by Ingosstrakh to the assured.

The Vologda Branch of Ingosstrakh has been cooperating with Shukhobodskoye CJSC since 2004.  During this period, its agricultural equipment and cattle was covered by the insurance.
