OREANDA-NEWS. August 9, 2010. The Vladimir Branch of Ingosstrakh signed an insurance contract for future vegetable crops with Farmers Strategic Union, Agricultural Production Cooperative (SPK), engaged in production and sale of vegetable and forage crops. The total insured amount under the contract is 7.2 mln. rubles.

The insured property includes vegetables as potatoes and cabbage at the total area of 176 ha in Vyaznikovsky and Sobinsky Districts of the Vladimir Region.

The future crops are insured against total and partial loss resulting from any natural hazards in the farming industry, i.e. drought, frost, winterkill, asphyxiation, hail damage, dust and sand storms, earthquakes, avalanches, mudslides, floods, soil waterlogging.

The insured crops are pledged by Vladimir Regional Branch of Russian Agricultural Bank within the provided loan.
