OREANDA-NEWS. August 09, 2010. Igor Artemyev: "I have long known David Davidovich and could not have used definition "a certain" about him", reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

On 4th August 2010, the Government Commission on Control over Foreign investments to the Russian Federation approved purchasing by a Canadian gold producer Kinross Gold 100% shares of "Avrelius Holding", which owns "Severnoye Zoloto" and "Regionrouda" - owners of two gold fields "Dvoinoye" and "Vodorazdelnoye".

Commenting the outcome of the Commission's meeting to the press, the Head of FAS Russia mentioned some beneficiaries of the transactions - Alexander Abramov, Alexander Frolov and David Davidovich.

FAS would like to underline that attaching the definition "a certain" to Davidovich surname is an interpretation of journalists.

"David Davidovich is a well-known person in investment business. FAS Russia is well aware Mr. Davidovich's activities in Russia and outside the country, so the expression "a certain" added in some media publications is a journalistic error", concluded the Head of FAS Russia Igor Artemyev.
