OREANDA-NEWS. August 6, 2010. Belarusian companies’ budget arrears decreased 11.7% in May 2010 to 86.6 billion Belarusian rubles (Br) as of June 1, 2010, an official with Belarus’ Statistics Committee told.

Of all arrears, charged but unpaid VAT fell 16.1% on the year in May to 34.9 billion rubles, a rise of 22.9% from January 1.

Profit tax arrears amounted to 12.1 billion rubles, down 48.3% in May and up three times from January 1, and land payment arrears were at 10.1 billion rubles, a rise of 55.4% in May and 130% in January-May.

Excise tax arrears reached 8.2 billion rubles, up 69.8% in May and 300% in January-May, and property tax arrears reached 5.9 billion rubles, down 3.3% in May and up 20.4% in the first five months.

Deferred tax payments to the state budget went down 2.3% in May 2010 to 269.1 billion rubles.
