OREANDA-NEWS. August 04, 2010. With 1 092 823 serviced passengers in July, the company broke the record of transporting a million passengers in just one calendar month for the second year in a row, announced AS Tallink Grupp. Compared to the results of July 2009 the passenger volumes increased by nearly four percent last month.

In July Tallink transported 474 853 passengers (+10%) on Finland-Estonia route, 421 936 passengers (-0,5%) on Finland-Sweden route and 103 852 passengers (+1%) on the route Estonia-Sweden route. On the route between Latvia and Sweden Tallink transported 76 876 passengers (+2%) and on the Finland-Germany route 15 306 passengers (-15%).

Additionally to passenger numbers, also the number of transported vehicles and cargo units increased in the last month. Tallink transported 147 217 passenger vehicles (+11%), the number of cargo units increased by 13 percent to 21 478 in July.
