Azerbaijan Increased Commission for Public Utility Payments
OREANDA-NEWS. August 04, 2010. The Collegiate Organ of the Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of Azerbaijan has summed up the results of sector’s activities for the first half of 2010.
Rashad Nabiyev, the head of the MCIT Department of Finance, Registration & Economic Analysis, informs that national postal operator Azerpocht Ltd managed to obtain raising the rate of commission for services on charge of public utility payments.
“An agreement on increase of commission rate from 1.75% up to 2% of the size of payment for consumed electricity was signed with OJSC Baku Electric Network. Under the arrangement with Azerenerji OJSC, commission for similar payments in country’s regions was raised from 1% up to 1.5%,” Nabiyev said.
Commission in Azerbaijan is collected from public utility operators.
“Azerpocht has also increased payment for installation of cash machines in postal offices from 70 up to 100 manats,” Nabiyev said.
