OREANDA-NEWS. August 04, 2010. In January to July 2010, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan exported 925.195 million cu m, including 110.211 million cu m in July.

SOCAR informs that Russia became the main importer of Azeri gas – 494.648 million cu m (including 66.435 million cu m this June) over seven months of the year (53.5% of all export). Georgia ranked the second – 219.982 million cu m (12.935 million cu m) and Iran became the third with 210.565 million cu m (30.841 million cu m).

Gas to the latter is supplied on swap conditions for gas supply of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.

Export to Russia is carried out in compliance with the contract with Gazprom.

With SOCAR’s minimum commitments of 500,000 cu m, this year the Russian monopoly will be delivered 1 bn cu m and in 2011 – up to 2 bn cu m.
