OREANDA-NEWS. August 03, 2010. State Committee on Science, Innovation, and Information is currently developing the concept of a domestic biological products to overcome socially dangerous diseases. According to statistics, every year in Ukraine tens of thousands of new cases of socially dangerous diseases are recorded. Some of them are such as AIDS and tuberculosis, the situation riches epidemic signs.

As the Chairman of the Committee Volodymyr Semynozhenko declared, the emphasis in the program must be placed on developing three areas of science and technology: the creation of units of blood purification based on protein synthesis, biotechnology targeted localization of therapeutic proteins and development of individual medical accounts based on genetic testing.

"Ukrainian scientists today have a unique developments that will radically improve diagnosis, treatment and prevention of these diseases in the future 4-5 years. Rather than be a market for not always quality imported drugs, Ukraine has to become a manufacturer of advanced medical technologies and drugs"- Vladimir Seminozhenko said.

According to him, the principle of exact concentration of public and scientific research efforts on several fronts, which is incorporated in the concept of the program, will ensure its maximum effectiveness.
