OREANDA-NEWS. August 03, 2010. Central Bank of Azerbaijan jointly with the “Junior Achievement Azerbaijan” organization organized a “Career Day” to improve literacy of higher school students. The event was attended by more that 20 students-members of the “Junior Achievement Azerbaijan” organization of the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy and Azerbaijan State Economic University. The students were provided with information about the role of the Central Bank in the economy of the country, organizational departments of the bank, and their operation principle, reported the press-centre of Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

Heads of the Research and Development Center, Human Resources, International relations, Control over the Operation of Credit Agencies and Communication departments of the Central Bank provided the students with information about the history of banking, main functions of the Central Bank, preventive measures taken during the global economic crisis, and in general, projects carried out for the development of the banking system of Azerbaijan.

According to the agenda of the event after the demonstration about information about the work of respective departments in the form of presentations, students took part at the question-answer session.

At the meeting carried out in the form of an interesting discussion, students were acquainted with ways of making career.

After they were informed about the internship at the different departments of the Central Bank, they were distributed application forms to take part at the project.

It should be noted, that “Junior Achievement Azerbaijan” organization has been carrying about economic trainings at the educational agencies of the country since 2003.
