OREANDA-NEWS. August 02, 2010. At the construction site of substation 750 kV Gribovo in Moscow Oblast, Federal Grid Company and Stroytransgaz held a meeting of the control headquarters of the power distribution facilities construction for energy block No. 4 of the Kalinin nuclear power plant. At the meeting the problems of preparation and performance of the project construction and installation works were discussed.

In total more than 560 km of power lines of 220-750 kV will be constructed for power distribution of the new block of the station and more than 6758 МVА of transformer power will be put into operation. At present installation of foundations and supports for 750 kV power lines is well under way between Kalinin nuclear power plant and Gribovo where the new substation Gribovo of the nominated transformer power of 3504 MVA will be located. The line 275 km long will run across the territory of Tverskaya Oblast as well as North and West regions of Moscow Oblast. Works of extension of 750 kV Belozerskaya substation (Moscow Oblast) are being executed as well. All the construction works at the electrical grid facilities are being executed according to the approved schedule timely and full-scale.

This year construction of 500 kV Gribovo–Dorokhovo power line 75 km long will start as well as of cable-overhead power line Dorokhovo–Sloboda in Moscow Oblast. At the same time construction of 500 kV Dorokhovo substation of the capacity of 1502 MVA is planned in Mozhaisk Region of Moscow Oblast.

Putting the main grid facilities into operation scheduled for December 2011 will make it possible to increase the power distribution in the 220–10 kV grid by 1400 MVA to provide the Moscow Oblast consumers with power. It will allow to connect new consumers and to increase considerably the reliability and stability of all the system of the power supply in the region.
