Holding tenders for the construction and mounting works among highly experienced organizations has currently become an important activity for the company. For the first six months of 2010, the Corporation held 15 tenders to select contractors for the internal and external fit-out of the Federation Tower and other construction projects of MIRAX GROUP.

The study of the commercial offers in the contractors’ market show stable interest to MIRAX GROUP on the part of big construction companies, who won the tenders. The contractors improved the technical characteristics of the Federation Tower central atrium dome, performed floor construction in the specific areas of the entrance lobbies on the 1 floor in the inter-tower space and accomplished the design, manufacturing and installation of the canopies between Tower East and Tower West of the Federation Tower Complex.

In view of the special emphasis given to the problem of energy efficiency in Russia, which was stated in a recent address of the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, MIRAX GROUP carried out an energy audit to find the ways to reduce energy consumption by the Federation Tower and, based on the results, install the most up-to-date energy-saving equipment there.

MIRAX GROUP selects contractors not only within its specific field of activities. In April this year, the company held a tender for purchase and installation of McAfee-based antivirus software won by LETA IT-Company.

“We set high requirements for our potential contractors with a focus on quality and conscientiousness of their work, comfort and safety of our staff and clients,” said the first deputy director for construction Gudzhari Kurashvili. According to him, MIRAX GROUP prioritizes mostly Russian companies, which significantly promotes the Russian construction industry development and provides jobs under conditions of recovery from the crisis.
