OREANDA-NEWS. August 02, 2010. TNK-BP transferred 2 mln rubles for repairing secondary school No.3 in the city of Novy Urengoi. These funds will be used for replacement of windows and doors and performance of construction and installation works in the framework of comprehensive measures for preparing school to the new academic year, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

School No.3 is the winner of many all-Russia contests among general education institutions integrating innovative educational programs. The ecological vocational school Ecocenter based in School No.3 is conducting experimental and research works for studying and improving the environmental situation in the region.

According to Oleg Chemezov, Director of the OJSC TNK-BP Management Branch “TNK-BP Sibir” in the city of Tyumen, support of education is one of the highest priorities in charitable activities of TNK-BP. “The conditions of children education and development and availability of the bare necessities, amenities and conveniences at school, where children spend most their time, is utterly important. This is why we will always pay increased attention to support of the education system and schools,” he stressed.
