OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2010. Asset Management Company of the Bank of Moscow (AMC of the Bank of Moscow) has announced completion of the current internal of the commodity market mutual fund "Serebraniy Bor — precious metals". For the period from 14 through 27 July 2010, RUR53.93 mln rubles were received in payment for units of the fund, this increasing its assets by 128%.

The most active investors in the fund were residents of Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Kamchatka, Krasnodar, Nizhniy Novgorod, Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Lipetsk.

Since the beginning of 2010, the price of a unit in the fund has risen by 14.3% per annum, the respective figure for the period since the fund’s inception in April 2009 being 20.58%. As of the closing of the interval, the unit price stood at RUR1205.76. It is on this price that units are allocated to unit holders remitting funds to acquire units of the fund.

At the end of the interval, the fund was structured as follows:
- gold — 45.1%;
- silver — 30.5%;
- platinum — 13.3%;
- palladium — 10.4%.

"The considerable interest demonstrated by unit holders in the mutual fund is a result, first of all, of the fund’s high yield and, second, the prospects for the precious metals market — market players assess the potential for a rise in the prices of the main metals at 5-10 per cent in currency by the end of the year, this being an attractive level compared to dollar deposits", commented Vladimir Vedeneyev, Director of the Asset Management Department of AMC of the Bank of Moscow.

The next interval of the mutual fund "Serebraniy Bor — precious metals", when units may be purchased, will be from 14 through 27 October 2010.
