OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2010. Heineken-grown brewing barley is projected to have a yield of 3.5 to 4 tonnes per hectare in Belarus this year, brewing barley expert Robert Person told.

He called 2010 an average year in terms of barley cultivation.

According to preliminary estimates, brewing barley harvest in Ukraine and Russia may be 20% below the 2009 level in 2010.

In 2010, Heineken-grown barley will meet STB first grade quality parameters.

Heineken sees its brewing barley harvest in Belarus at 6,000 tonnes this year, which meets the state-guaranteed order.
