Retail Trade of Consumer Products Inreases by 7,6% in Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. July 28, 2010. As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, the growth of retail sales was due to increase of nonfoods sales by 10,1% - up to 7 billion 390,9 million leis and sales of foodstuffs – by 2,5% - up to 3 billion 723,4 million leis.
The growth of retail trade volume was registered by the mixed ownership enterprises (with foreign capital) (+11,4%), and by private companies (+6,8%). At the same time, the sales at mixed (public and private) trading companies have reduced by 12,4% and sales at the state companies - by 0,9%, respectively.
The largest share in the total volume of retail sales accounted for Chisinau – 59,2% and Balti - 7,7%, followed by Gagauzia - 2,8%, Cahul region – 2%, Orhei region – 1,8%, Edinet and Ungheni regions – 1,7% each, Soroca and Drochia regions – 1,6% each.
In June 2010 the trading companies have sold goods totaling to 2 billion 10,4 million leis or by 0,2% more than in May 2010 and by 8,3% more than in June 2009.
