OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2010. In the first half of 2010, TNK-BP increased its investments into development and implementation of social programs by the company subsidiaries in the Saratov Region up to 44.95 mln rubles, which is 14% more than the volume of investments in January–June 2009. The social programs being implemented by TNK-BP subsidiaries include the voluntary health insurance program, non-state pension provision program, recreation and rehabilitation program, housing program, etc., reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

TNK-BP invested 5.6 mln rubles into regional social programs in the first half of 2010 for development of children’s sports, preservation of the cultural and historical heritage, support of talented young people and socially disadvantaged population. According to the agreement of cooperation between TNK-BP and the Saratov Region Administration, the company will allocate 10 mln rubles for external social investments by the end of the year.

“The company continues the traditional lines of its social investments in the Saratov Region with the main priority on children’s sports. A regional contest of social and cultural projects is held every year with a total fund of approximately 1 mln rubles. Currently, applications are being received for participation in this year’s contest. Business development is only possible in regions with a stable social situation. For this reason, the company allocates considerable funds for supporting the region and extends its contribution to social development of the region every year,” said Vladimir Meshkov, Director of OJSC TNK-BP Management Branch “TNK-BP” Povolzhye in the city of Saratov.
