Softline Announces New Direction of Activity
OREANDA-NEWS. July 26, 2010. Softline announces a new direction of activity - Softline Cloud Services (SCS) oriented to offer high-quality SaaS products and services to final users in Russia, CIS and foreign countries.
The Company says that SCS sets serious strategic objectives - to hold leading position (80%) at the market of SaaS-services by 2015.
Gartner estimates that SaaS market capacity in the world in 2008 was USD 6.6 bn and forecast on its growth is up to USD 16 bn in 2013 (taking into account the crisis phenomena).
"Cloudy segment is now in stage of formation and so a perspective for SCS to occupy a dominant position is the same as for Softline, when it appeared at the software licensing market, i.e. very high. The Company is already realizing project Softcloud, specializing in the sale of cloud services through its partner network. The purpose of SCS is active promotion of the best SaaS-products and services to end-users in domestic and foreign markets,” SCS head Sergey Borovikov considers.
Currently the direction catalogue offers a wide range of cloud services that can solve almost any problem on optimization of IT costs. The most popular of them is postal service with protection from spam and viruses, virtual IP PBX. The SCS personnel is a unique team with expertise in the area of marketing, management, telecommunication technologies. Softline is the exclusive reseller of a number of vendors (Google, Open-Xchange) in Russia.
Target audience of SCS is small and medium-size businesses with dynamic development and growth of staff which have realized the risks of unlicensed software, but are not willing to buy expensive equipment and spend a considerable sums and time on its implementation, setup and maintenance - for them is critical predictability of IT costs, terms of introduction and configuration of software product - in this case SaaS-services will be the best solution.
