OREANDA-NEWS. July 26, 2010. Press-conference with participation of members of the Board of Kazakhtelecom JSC devoted to starting of corporate blog and resuming the work for the first six months of 2010 held in Almaty, reported the press-centre of Kazakhtelecom.

As Kuanyshbek Yessekeyev, Chairman of the Board of Kazakhtelecom JSC noted in his welcoming speech, the company implements modern methods of corporate management, and one of such methods is information interaction through a corporate blog. “The company provides wide spectrum of services today, which many Kazakhstani people use, thus a decision to get Internet access and start working in blog has been taken. I think that with the help of corporate blog we can solve many problems, which our users have” – said K.Yessekeyev.

Some results of company's work for the first six months have been announced on press-conference. Consolidated incomes from realization for 6 months of 2010 by provisional data compose 75 956 million tenge, consolidated net profit - 20 635 million tenge. Total by Kazakhtelecom JSC the volume of investments by operative data for 6 months of 2010 composed 4 742 million tenge. Kazakhtelecom JSC approved total amount of dividend payments by ordinary and privileged shares by results of 2009 in amount of 4,781 million tenge on 14.06.2010 on annual general meeting of shareholders. Dividends for 2009 per one ordinary and privileged share will compose 422,09 tenge.

Kazakhtelecom JSC concluded over 5,5 thousan contracts for purchase of goods, works and services for amount of 24,1 billion tenge for the six months of 2010, at that share of Kazakhstan content composed 62,3% at target for the current year is 54,5%.

Work on free number capacity continued during 6 months on telecommunication networks of the republic. 126 437 telephones, 78 223 units on city network, 48 214 units on rural have been installed for the six months. Number of fixed lines as of 1 July 2010 composed 3 707 100 units, including city networks 2 695 358 units, rural networks 1 011 742 units. Density of telephones per 100 residents composed 22,7 numbers, including 30,6 city numbers, 13,6 rural numbers.

Broadband Internet access users by results of first six months of 2010 composed 1 698 686 people.
