OREANDA-NEWS. The 7th International Aviation and Space Salon "Aviasvit-XXI" will be held on September 30 - October 4, 2010 in Kyiv (Gostomel, Kyiv-Antonov airdrome), in which about 250 aviation, rocket space, defense and other companies from almost 30 countries will show their products and latest developments.

"We expect that this will be the most representative Aviation and Space Salon in Ukraine. Two months before the "Aviasvit" 170 domestic and foreign companies have already confirmed their participation", said one of the conveners Leonid Zvorykin, adding that Ukrainian enterprises confirmed their participation: "ANTONOV" ASTC, OJSC "Motor Sich", State Enterprise "Design Bureau "South" named after Yangel", etc. Among foreign companies involved in the work shop will Russian helicopter company OJSC "Rostvertol", famous German aircraft company "Aquila aviation", South African aircraft company "Denel aviation", Danish instrument-making company – a partner of the world-renowned corporation "General Electric" and more than a hundred well-known enterprises and companies.

This Salon will represent an exposition of modern samples of aviation and space technology hubs and components, equipment for airports and related services, technological processes, equipment and materials for engineering. There will also be presented more than 70 aircrafts and helicopters: from the largest and most powerful in the world aircraft family ANTONOV to small aviation. Demonstration flights are planned on the basis of the Salon.

One of the priorities of economic development the Ukrainian Government defined the implementation of scientific and technical programs and projects in high-technology engineering, creation of competitive technologies, increasing export potential of the industry. This causes holding in Ukraine of aviation and space salons by leading enterprises and scientific institutions of aircraft, space and engineering industries from around the world.

Yesterday, at the Farnborough International Air Show-2010 Russian leasing company "Illyushyn Finance Co" has signed with air holding company "ANTONOV" a contract of purchase of 10 new Antonov-158 and an option to purchase another 10 aircrafts.
