OREANDA-NEWS. July 23, 2010. OJSC Saratov Oil Refinery management has received the International Best Taxpayer of the Year winner certificate in Moscow. The award was established by the Foundation for Promoting Entrepreneurship in 2008, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

The competition is organized under the auspices of the RF State Duma, the Council of Federation, the Accounting Chamber, the Ministry of Trade and Economic Development, the Council of Ministers of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, the Moscow State Duma, the Association of the Regional Banks of Russia, and the Russian Taxpayer Union.

The award is designed to promote business conducted in a fair, transparent and competent manner, encourage business entities to pay taxes on a voluntary basis and in good faith, improve partnership relations between regulatory agencies and taxpayers, raise tax culture and ensure timely tax payments to the budgets. Every year an unprecedented number of companies and organizations from all regions apply for the prestigious award.

Other companies of the oil sector recognized include the Novokuibyshevsk Oil Refinery and Surgutneftegaz.
