OREANDA-NEWS. July 23, 2010. GLONASS technologies are introduced in all Russian regions, maintaining transport safety and enhancing passenger service quality.

GLONASS transport control systems undergo permanent improvement, proposing new data services for the users.

Free service NOVOGUIDE has been initiated in Cherepovets recently. The service provides local citizens with the opportunity to trace bus traffic in the most popular routes, as well as to see the time table. The service was introduced by M2M Telematica regional partner. NOVOGUIDE is available for mobile phones also.

Similar data services are available in Ryazan and Tambov. Unique GLONASS technologies save time for the passengers.

To remind, M2M Telematica subsidiary in Ryazan installed Integrated Route Data Table (IRDT) in the city. It tells the passengers about traffic in real time. The first table of this type appeared at the bus stop in the central square of the city. 

IRDT uses the data acquired from GLONASS/GPS urban transport monitoring center. It is capable of predicting arrival of the bus with accuracy of up to 1 min, and to display it in the table.

The service is free for local citizens.  IRDT has been developed under the program which implies GLONASS introduction in the region, through equipping all transport vehicles with navigational equipment which downloads the data into the dispatcher center.
