PM of Moldova Calls to Interact with Transnistrian Mobile Providers
OREANDA-NEWS. July 23, 2010. According to governmental press service, in the course of the meeting with mobile communication providers Vladimir Filat noted from the technical point of view there were no problems for interconnection. Such services will be in the interests of the citizens.
The Premier also stressed the bad signal quality on some road sections and frontier areas, noting that at the border the local signal changes into Transnistrian providers signal and results in money loss. Thus, the mobile providers promised to solve the problem of signal absence on some road sections till the end of 2010 or in the Ist quarter of 2011.
The Director of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) Sergiu Sitnic said joint working group with providers that would study the topical problems in detail and determine the solutions for overcoming the situation was created recently. It was also proposed to consider the possibility of national and international highway number increase that would be necessary to ensure with qualitative and constant signal.
The parties have also discussed the problems that providers faces, particularly, long and complicated procedures of permissions receipt for construction of towers for placement of stations. Vladimir Filat suggested the working group studied all providers’ problems and proposed the concrete solutions.
