OREANDA-NEWS. July 23, 2010. Moldova requests Belarus to establish necessary economic mechanisms for export of Moldavian wines to Belarusian market. This was announced by acting President of Moldova, Chairman of the Parliament – Mihai Ghimpu in the course of the meeting with Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus – Anatoly Rubinov within the World Conference of Speakers of Parliament, holding in Geneva.

According to Mihai Ghimpu, Moldova is interested in the development of constructive and pragmatic collaboration with Belarus in many directions, laying special emphasis on trade and economic relations. The parties have discussed the implementation of the whole set of joint economic projects, adjustment of partnership and creation of Moldavian-Belarusian joint enterprises in order to provide the outlets of both countries with qualitative products and services. Mihai Ghimpu stressed the importance of collaboration development in the interests of citizens of both states.

He also requested from Belarusian authorities to render assistance in overcoming the flood consequences, first of all in the construction of dwelling houses for the victims. Anatoly Rubinov invited Mihai Ghimpu to make an official visit to Minsk in the near future in order to determine the goals of bilateral and regional collaboration.
