OREANDA-NEWS. July 23, 2010. Belarus’ OAO Lidskoe Pivo brewery, based in the Grodno Region, reported a 10.8% increase in output to 2.581 million decaliters in January-June 2010, a representative in the administration of the company told.

In June, beer output amounted to 600,000 decaliters, up 37.3% on the year.

Beer offering in plastic bottles increased 8.1% to 2.015 million decaliters, in glass bottles increased 10.2% to 400,000 decaliters and in kegs rose 40.2% to 143,000 decaliters. Beer production in cans reached 23,000 decaliters.

Supplies to the domestic market went up 10.6% on the year to 2.321 million decaliters.

OAO Lidskoe Pivo exports amounted to 244,500 decaliters, up 130% on the year.

OAO Lidskoe Pivo accounted for 14.4% of the Belarusian beer output in January-June, up 0.4 of a percentage point on the year.

Finland’s Olvi Oyj in early October 2009 increased its shareholding in the Belarusian brewery Lidskoe Pivo to 87.85% from 51%.

Olvi plc is one of Finland’s biggest beer and soft drink producers. It operates in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
