OREANDA-NEWS. July 22, 2010. The Board of Directors of IC Allianz Ukraine has decided to appoint Mr. Garry Andreasyan, who previously held the position of the Sales Director of Allianz Ukraine, as the company’s acting CEO, effective from 01 August 2010. The new appointment is in line with the appointment of Mr. Joachim Wessling, who had been heading the company for the last 3 years, to the position of the CEO and regional manager of Allianz Indonesia, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

Mr. Joachim Wessling has been working for Allianz for over 27 years. He joined the Ukrainian team in 2007 as an official Allianz representative in Ukraine, and since 2008 he had been serving as a CEO of Allianz Ukraine. His immense expertise and longstanding record in the insurance sector have enabled Joachim to achieve the successful completion of the company’s restructuring process aimed to ensure customer service via various sales channels, stabilize operation of the regional network and create a platform which could be used by Allianz Ukraine to expand within any market segment, including retail insurance.

The Chairman of the Board Mr. Hannes Chopra expressed his gratitude to Mr. Joachim Wessling for the latter’s outstanding work and the results achieved during his tenure in Allianz Ukraine.

Mr. Garry Andreasyan was born in 1979 in Yerevan, Armenia. In 2000, he graduated with honors from the Law Department of the Eastern Ukrainian University, majoring in jurisprudence. In 2000 to 2003, he was doing postgraduate studies in the field of international law in the Vladimir Koretsky State and Law Institute by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

From December 2002 to December 2005, Garry Andreasyan worked in the insurance company INGO Ukraine as a liability and property insurance underwriter. Garry was admitted to IC Allianz Ukraine in December 2005 as an underwriter. Later, in October 2006, he was appointed to the position of the Deputy Insurance Director, and subsequently, in December 2007, the Insurance Director of IC Allianz Ukraine. Since April 2008, he has been serving as the Deputy CEO of IC Allianz Ukraine and member of the company’s Board of Directors. Since March 2009, he has been holding the position of the Sales Director, in charge for the corporate business development and implementation of the company’s strategic initiatives.
