S7 Airlines, the leader Russian airline by implementation of modern technologies, is the first airline to develop special applications for iPhone, providing the users of mobiles phones by Apple with the access to the electronic services of the airline, reported the press-centre of S7 Airlines.

Within the framework of S7 Mobile website the airlines launched two applications for iPhone users. Access to the first application can be acquired by typing of the site address - s7.ru at the address bar of the browser. The second variant is the installation of free application, provided by S7 Airlines at the Apple Store. These applications are available in Russian, English and German.

The very latest “HTML5” technology allows S7 iPhone users to benefit from a native downloadable iPhone App experience, even if they chose not to download the App, but instead simply browse to s7.ru.

‘S7 Airlines is constantly developing its electronic services. We tend to provide our passengers with information in order to purchase the necessary air tickets at any time and place. We made our services maximally convenient for everyone. Nearly 40% of our mobile website visitors use iPhones. All applications, developed by S7 Airlines, are specially adapted for iPhone devices, taking into account the interface of a mobile device’, - pointed Mr Dmitry Chuyko, E-Business Director for S7 Group.

The applications for iPhone as well as all other applications for other mobile phones provide its users with the following services:

Moreover, the applications of iPhone devices have new function – the history of recent visits. If the passenger has already purchased the ticket or reviewed fares for certain destinations, the iPhone applications will save this data.

In the nearest future the users of S7 Airlines mobile website will be able to gain access to the personal account of the ‘S7 Priority’ frequent flyer program and also purchase tickets for ‘Aeroexpress’ high-speed trains. These applications will be automatically updated for iPhone users.

S7 Airlines launched the mobile version of its website in 2009. Mobile website grants access to the services of airline at all types of mobile devices.

The mobile website of S7 Airlines for mobile devices is available through PC browser at the m.s7.ru or mobile.s7.ru, and iPhone version is available here (we advise you to use Safari browser).

The new S7’s applications for iPhone were developed in cooperation with Mobile Travel Technologies Ltd (MTT). MTT is Dublin-based Company to provide the technology which powers leading worldwide mobile travel services, enabling hotel chains, airlines, car rental companies and travel intermediaries to launch and develop their mobile services.
