OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2010. JSC "Zaporozhtransformator" (ZTR) enhances competitiveness of manufactured products by means of introduction of two international standards. These are standards ISO 14001 as for ecology and OHSAS 18001 related to industrial safety and health protection.

Implementation of two new standards along with standards already existing within the company ISO 9001:2000, is to establish complex predicted and easily controlled management system.      Project consisting of two stages, will be completed by the end of the current year. 

The first stage – organization of register, related to ecological items and health safety of workers – will be completed by September of the current year. Programme concerning decrease of risks related to health safety and consequences for environment will be worked out on the basis of received data within the scope of the second stage. Full adoption of the programme and completion of the project are expected already by the end of the year 2010.

"Health safety of workers and environmental protection – these are the items our Customers pay attention ever frequently to, – mentioned Dmitriy Ivanov, Head of Quality Department of JSC “ZTR”. – Thus, cooperation with Spanish company ABENGOA has become the main background for introduction of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 at ZTR. Customers of JSC “ZTR” will obtain additional warranties as for quality of manufactured products as well as for conditions of its production due to integrated management system". 

Integrated management system will enable JSC "Zaporozhtransformator" to extend scope of perspective Customers, to proceed to systematical solution of items related to ecology, industrial safety and health protection "inside" the company, as well as to find new methods of energy- and resource-saving.    

Nowadays only several tens of companies alongside with ZTR in Ukraine have introduced integrated management system, including items of ecology, industrial safety and health protection. ZTR is included to leading progressive enterprises of the country and announces its social orientation in business activity.
