OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2010. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov reviewed the new projects developed prepared by the Turkish company Polimeks, a long-term partner of our country in the construction sector. The Vice Premiers, the heads of the Mejlis, the high-ranking officials of the particular ministries and departments attended the presentation, which took place in the Serdar Hotel on the Caspian seashore.

CEO of Polimeks Erol Tabanca reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the progress of constriction work carried out by the Turkish company in Turkmenistan and expressed keen interest in furthering mutually advantageous cooperation.

The fragments of the Monument to the Constitution under construction in the Turkmen capital and the layouts of its ground and first layers and draft design of the cultural centre, which would be built nearby, were presented to the President of Turkmenistan for consideration. The Turkmen leader considered the project of construction and improvement of Chandybil Avenue in Ashgabat, which would run parallel to Archabil Avenue, including lighting, planting of greenery and landscape design.

The Turkish specialists presented the draft design of a 60,000-seat stadium that would be built in the Olympic Village in Ashgabat including the unique complex of sports facilities and the project of reconstruction of the Olympic Stadium in the Turkmen capital.

The film presenting the progress in reconstruction and improvement of Neutrality Avenue and the Polimeks’s proposals on construction of the new international airport in Ashgabat was demonstrating to the presentation participants. Then the Turkmen leader considered the draft designs of the air harbour of the capital and the projects for reconstruction of improvement of the above-mentioned highway.

The President considered the draft design of the monument to a thermometer that Polimeks proposed to build at the intersection of Neutrality Avenue and 10 Yyl Abadanchylyk Street.

The Turkish partners had developed the project of a desalination unit with the capacity of 50,000 cubic metres a day and the water supply system in the maritime town of Turkmenbashi. Additional water supply networks would be built to improve water supply in the western region of the country.

Then the national leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov considered the development plan including improvement of adjacent territory and construction of a canal that would protect the Turkmen capital from mud streams.

Considering thoroughly the projects developed by Polimeks, the President of Turkmenistan provided the recommendations and suggestions and noted that the major guidelines for developing and implementing projects must be advanced technical and engineering thought and innovative technologies as well as a thoughtful, integrated and systematic approach.

In particular, touching upon the project of reconstruction and improvement of Neutrality Avenue and construction of Chandybil Avenue the Turkmen leader said that it should widely apply design ideas and technological innovations including street lighting, billboards and other aesthetic elements of modern urban landscape. A thoughtful approach should be taken to planting of greenery that was an integral component of a comfortable urban environment.

Touching upon the project of the Monument to the Constitution that would be a symbol of the firmness of the foundations of independent neutral Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov suggesting building the museum building and laying up a public park between the monumental complex and cultural centre that would become an element of green attire of the city and one of favourite recreation areas of people and guests of Ashgabat.

Emphasizing that the unalterable requirements set by Turkmenistan to foreign partners remained perfect quality of work, the Turkmen leader [provided the suggestions and recommendations on the projects presented.

Expressing profound gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for granting confidence to the Polimeks Company, Erol Tabanca assured that the Turkmen leader’s suggestions and recommendations would be taken in consideration. The businessman assured that the Turkish company would take further the most serious and responsible approach to fulfilling its partner obligations.
