OREANDA-NEWS. July 19, 2010. Sheremetyevo International Airport, with the participation of the Russian branch of Aon (Aon Rus – Insurance Brokers LLC) announced the results of the tender for insurance of the airport’s corporate vehicle fleet. The tender winner is Ingosstrakh. 5 insurers participated in the tender. The contract is effective since July 9, 2010, and is valid for 1 year.

Organizing an efficient insurance coverage is a priority for Sheremetyevo airport. Sheremetyevo has strict requirements to its insurers, focused on reliability, professionalism, reputation of the counterparty and compliance with high international standards.

Under the contract, Ingosstrakh will provide to Sheremetyevo airport third-party liability insurance (CMTPL) for 475 vehicles, voluntary motor third-party liability insurance for 664 vehicles and hull insurance for 150 vehicles. Insurance coverage also includes airport vehicles (trucks; tow-trucks; loading, cleaning, fire trucks; passenger cars; buses; passenger boarding stairs). The total insured amount under hull insurance (theft and damage) is about 429 mln rubles, under hull insurance it is 152 mln rubles.

The contract also provides for the possibility for Sheremetyevo to autonomously chose the form of insurance compensation (repair at authorized service centers; repair at service centers chosen by the insured; monetary compensation) and be indemnified net of depreciation of vehicle details, according to the "new for old" principle.

Moreover, Ingosstrakh offered additional services to Sheremetyevo: visit of the insurer’s representative to the client for examinations, personal advisor for management of the contract and settlement of losses.

Ingosstrakh has been insuring the vehicle fleet of Sheremetyevo airport since 2005.

Sheremetyevo International Airport is the largest in Russia. Sheremetyevo aims at becoming the best hub in Europe in terms of customer service by 2015. It is expected that by 2015 the passenger traffic of the airport will reach 35 mln per year.  The quality management system of the airport was certified for compliance with the ISO 9001:2000 standard. The airport has been cooperating with Ingosstrakh since 2005. Aon is the risk management advisor of Sheremetyevo.
