OREANDA-NEWS. July 19, 2010. The Government will significantly simplify the procedure of parcelling out of land for construction. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this today at a meeting with representatives of businessmen and diplomatic corps.

"I gave instructions to the mayors to give land plots for construction for free, and it should not be wastelands. It should be prepared sites. Yes, we will accept losses, as preparation of sites means developing of communications, networks, but we have to do this step now in order to provide construction volumes of coming years. Then we will find an acceptable formula for cooperation with construction business, but in any case, we will simplify as much as possible the procedure of granting land for business", said Mykola Azarov.

"In June the construction growth of 0.7 pc was fixed", he said. By the end of 2010, the Government set a target to complete nearly 700 construction projects, readiness of which exceeds 70 pc.

The Prime Minister has also noted that construction can help to increase realization of metals in the domestic market by 30 pc.
