OREANDA-NEWS. July 16, 2010. Opening of a new joint venture Eco-Okna, Ltd., was held on the basis of Petrozavodsk Woodworking Enterprise. Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Karelia Pavel Chernov, Assistant to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Construction of the RK Valery Momotov, Director General of Karelstroimekhanizatsiya JSC Nikolay Makarov, president of Onego Bank Sergey Savinsky, other officials have taken part in the ceremony.

The enterprise will produce wooden window and balcony frames with multiple glass panes on German technology. This production reflects the most advanced achievements and tendencies of joinery work.

Pavel Chernov and those present have seen round the enterprise and have taken a close look at the technological process.

– Any enterprise which opens in the republic and starts its production is a new step forward in the economy development, – Prime Minister said. – It means, that housing construction and the entire building branch in Karelia develop.

As Nikolay Makarov has told, this project is a follow-up of the process launched several years ago by opening the first phase of the factory of reinforced concrete construction at the support of the Government of Karelia that has issued a budgetary credit to the enterprise. This time three building enterprises Karelstroimekhanizatsiya, SP-1 and Petrozavodsk Woodworking Enterprise have decided to combine their efforts. As he said, the enterprise will develop in the process of housing construction growth in the republic, the prospect to launch its second phase to manufacture door units is being considered.

Capacity of the enterprise where there will work from 30 to 35 people, allows to produce up to 1000 square meters of window frames a month. They are supposed to be on sale both in the building market of Karelia, and beyond, for example, in St.-Petersburg.
