OREANDA-NEWS. July 16, 2010. State support, first of all, the business environment simplification, will allow Ukrainian tourism stepping into a new stage of development. This is especially important, considering the approaching of Euro 2012. Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Tigipko said this during a meeting on the development of the tourism market of Ukraine. In discussions of issues took part representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, State Committee of Ukraine for regulatory policy and entrepreneurship, State Border Service, and tour operators’ associations.

"The state is interested in the fast developing of the tourism sector. In countries that are close to us on the development, tourism provides revenues to the budget ten times as large. This sector has a substantial growth potential, and the state’s goal consists in helping it in this matter", said Serhiy Tigipko.

Vice Prime Minister stressed that isolated measures will not give the desired effect. According to the official, the sector needs a medium-run updated comprehensive programme of development.
