OREANDA-NEWS. July 15, 2010. TVEL Fuel Company auctions 51% of its shares of JSC Chemical and Metallurgical Plant (Krasnoyarsk) and its property.

The initial price of the lot is 475.619 mln rubles. The deadline for bids is August 23, 2010. The lot includes ordinary registered uncertified shares of JSC CMP in amount of 536,258 pcs; an industrial building with the floor area of 12,312 sq. m as well as rights (claims) of TVEL OJSC to JSC CMP under immovable and movable property purchase/sale agreements.

JSC Chemical and Metallurgical Plant is established in 1956. Since 1996 the enterprise has been a part of TVEL OJSC. In different periods Chemical and Metallurgical Plant produced gallium and lithium metal, lithium carbonate, NaA synthetic zeolite, periclase powders and caustic magnesite, belite-alumina cement and building block using this material. Now the enterprise comprises departments producing lithium hydroxide, sources of sodium, potassium, rubidium, cesium alkali metals. There is a lime quarry with a limestone crushing area and a furnace for lime production. Limestone composition makes it possible to produce lime of high quality and different fractions as well as to calcine it. The possibility exists of production sodium chloride used as roads anti-icer in wintertime.
