OREANDA-NEWS. July 15, 2010. Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) Pavel Subbotin made an official visit to Kemerovo, where he took part in an inter-regional meeting/ workshop about antimonopoly control of the authorities and local self-government bodies and reform of the system of state procurement (transition to electronic auctions and control over them), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Along with Pavel Subbotin, at the meeting there were present Deputy Head of the FAS Russia's Department for Control over State Procurement, Vasily Gorbunov, representatives of regional offices of FAS Russia in Siberian Federal District (Altai Regional OFAS Russia, Altai Republican OFAS Russia, Novosibirsk OFAS Russia, Tomsk OFAS Russia), the federal inspector in the Kemerovo region, representatives of regional and municipal customers, representatives of the Authority of the Kemerovo region and local self-government bodies.

The aim of the workshop was to study the problems of practical application of provisions of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" regulating acceptable conduct of the authorities and government agencies and identify controversial issues related to enforcement of the law on state and municipal procurement.

By the end of the meeting participants reached better understanding of the problems of developing competitive environment, particularly, within the system of state and municipal procurement.

In course of his visit to Kemerovo region, Pavel Subbotin had a press-conference and a working meeting with the Acting Governor of the Kemerovo Region.
