OREANDA-NEWS. July 15, 2010. The Prime Minister announced this at the briefing in Chisinau. He noted that more exact amount of damage is unknown yet but only the construction of houses and necessary infrastructure for suffered people requires not less than 400 million leis.

Besides, thousands of hectares of agricultural lands have also suffered from the flood. Vladimir Filat noted that he met with Moldova foreign donors group that promised to render assistance to victims, for many of which the harvest was the only livelihood. The Premier assured that before cold weather all dwellers, lost their houses, will have the new houses.

In consequence of the floods in Moldova suffered 85 centers of population, 500 houses were destroyed, almost 3 thousand of people, including 140 children, were evacuated. Besides, these floods entailed the death of two people. Most of all suffered dwellers of Nemteni, Obileni, Cotul Morii and Saratani villages. Before cold weather Moldavian authorities mean to build for them 700 new houses, in the area of 80 square meters each.
