OREANDA-NEWS. July 14, 2010. The presentation of new Social taxi car for transportation of physically challenged people took place in L'viv. We should remind, that last year ОККО filling complexes network, Universalna Insurance Company and Concern Khlibprom purchased the first car for L'viv Social taxi. The second car was purchased with money of The Fund for the Development of the Carpathian Euroregion. The initiator of creation of Social taxi service in L'viv is non-governmental organization Narodna Dopomoha L'viv. The task of the project is rendering transportation services to physically challenged persons. The rate of transportation is 1 hryvnya per kilometre.

During previous presentation CEO of Concern Galnaftogaz Vitaliy Antonov marked: "Social taxi project is a successful example of implementation of international standards of human rights protection in our everyday life. This is an additional stimulus to the mutual understanding between different groups of citizens in society. And we seek the environment which we live in also to conform high world humanitarian standards".

According to the deputy of L'viv Regional Council and chairman of L'viv regional branch of Rehabilitation of invalids Ukrainian fund Yaroslav Hrybals'kyi, the request for such services is great. "But one car could execute only up to 7 orders per day. Now, – Yaroslav Hrybals'kyi marked, – the amount of transportations will grow twice. And generally speaking, city should have over 20 Social taxi cars in order to satisfy the requirements of physically challenged people in transportation across L'viv".

Within the framework of new Social taxi car presentation the determination of winners of charitable lottery, organized by non-governmental organization Narodna Dopomoha L'viv, took place; lottery winners will have the opportunity to use Social taxi transportation service at no charge during 6 months, and money gained from a lottery will be used for realization of summer camp for children from families, who found themselves in difficult life circumstances.
