OREANDA-NEWS. July 14, 2010. The Board of directors of Halyk - Kazakhinstrakh (Kazakhinstrakh), held a meeting and appointed Askar Baymukhanov a chairman of the management board with tenure, reported the press-centre of KASE.

Askar Baymukhanov has an extensive expertise in finance. Before the appointment as a chairman, he was deputy chairman of the management board of Kazakhinstrakh beginning May 2009.

He held different managing positions:

- 2002 - 2009 - director of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan Atyrau;

- 2000 - 2002 - director of Bank TuranAlem Atyrau;

- 1999 - 2000 - deputy of Akim (Atyrau)

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Baymukhanov said: "Changes related to my appointment will not entail changes in the company strategy. We pursue to strengthen standings of Kazakhinstrakh on the insurance market through larger presence in the retail and leading positions among corporate clients. The company will improve service and ensure its availability".
