OREANDA-NEWS. July 14, 2010. TNK-BP sold 159,000 tonnes of petroleum products through exchange auctions in June, representing 18.7% of its total domestic fuel sales, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

The company has thereby exceeded its exchange trading target by almost one quarter and beaten its May result by more than 2.5 times.

For the first half of 2010 as a whole, TNK-BP sold 468,000 tones of fuel via exchange mechanisms, amounting to 11.2% of all its fuel sales in Russia. Volume during April and May suffered from a sharp drop in export prices.

TNK-BP is currently selling products from all its refineries, including Lisichansk (LINIK, Ukraine), via exchanges. These are exclusively light petroleum products and are mostly sold in the European part of Russia.

TNK-BP is aiming to trade at least 20% of its fuel volumes via exchanges during 2010.
