OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2010. Kalinin NPP energized 330/6 KW РТСН-5, 6 standby house transformers of power unit No.4 which is under construction. This is one of the key events concerning some target objectives of 2010 – house load energizing of KNPP power unit No.4 and pre-commissioning start-up.

The timely execution of this task was preceded by a set of actions performed jointly by efforts of the specialists of Kalinin nuclear power plant, Udomlya Branch of NIAEP OJSC Engineering Company (Nizhniy Novgorod Research, Design and Survey Institute Atomenergoproekt), Gidroelektromontazh TVP ZAO and Atomtekhenergo.

Thus, on June 8 power was applied to the 6/0.4 KW 4BU10 standby house transformer of power unit No.4 which is under construction (this is the first transformer powered from house load of power unit No.3 in accordance with the design layout).Then, the power was applied to rectifying devices, auxiliary and control circuits, air conditioning and ventilation systems and other systems of power unit No. 4 of Kalinin NPP.
