OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2010. The opening ceremony of a modern dairy livestock facility at "Agricultural company Dovzhenko" (Shyshatskiy district, Poltava region.) was held. The facility is designed for 1,000 cows with loose-housing system to better meet the physiological needs of animals that will have a positive effect on increasing yields. Premises of the dairy livestock facility were built according to technology of the Czech company "Bauer Technics". The facility has an automated milking room produced by the Israeli manufacturer "Afimilk" and is also equipped with a high-quality refrigeration equipment made by the Swedish company "DeLaval", aimed at fast and efficient milk cooling.

The opening ceremony was attended by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine of Agrarian industry Mr. V.Slauta, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Mr. S.Bykov, Head of the Poltava regional state administration Mr. O.Udovychenko, CEO of ASTARTA Holding N.V. Mr. V.Ivanchyk.

Construction of this modern dairy livestock facility is made as an element within the ASTARTA' development strategy that includes organic expansion of the dairy farming operations, which are synergetic with other ASTARTA' businesses related to crops and sugar production.
