OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2010. The Novosibirsk branch of Ingosstrakh paid 6.1 mln rubles in connection with theft of a truck with household appliances. The cargo was insured against all risks. The insurant is Novosibirsk transportation company.

At the end of 2009 an unidentified person, acting under an agreement for truck transportation of cargo, under false pretences received from the Moscow warehouse of the transportation company the cargo do be delivered to Novosibirsk. Then, after having loaded it in unidentified cars, disappeared, causing major material damage to the transportation company and to the cargo owners.

The insurant timely informed about theft of the cargo to the Directorate of the Interior  The thief has not been identified yet. Ingosstrakh paid to the insurant full compensation for the damage.

The Novosibirsk branch of Ingosstrakh has been providing cargo insurance for more than 12 years and is currently one of the leaders in Siberia in terms of collected insurance premiums and paid indemnity in this insurance segment.
